In an earlier post I began to list errors that, despite trying to be thorough, made it through to the first edition, but since editing the E-Book found a few more that slipped through. Some are minor, some, in my view, not so minor, as they impact certain concepts the book seeks to clarify. And a few where a little is added to either clarify of expand on a statement.
1) Page 3, 1st paragraph: Being deceived by the Serpent (who we learn in later revelation is Satan), Eve ate of the fruit, and gave to her Husband Adam to eat as well.
Correction: Being deceived by the Serpent (who we learn in later revelation is Satan), Eve ate of the fruit, and gave to her husband Adam to eat as well.
2) Page 4, last sentence on page: All men enter this world separated from God and that, my friends, is the Condition which must be remedied.
Correction: All men enter this world separated from God and that, my friends, is the condition which must be remedied.
3) Page 5, 1st paragraph: It is the process taught us in Scripture in which the person who is separated from God is ministered to by God Himself, as He performs the Ministry of the Comforter, and at that point the person ministered to responds to the truths God reveals to their heart and are immersed into Eternal Union with God.
Correction: It is the process taught us in Scripture in which the person who is separated from God is ministered to by God Himself, as He performs the Ministry of the Comforter. At that point the person ministered to responds to the truths God reveals to their heart and they are immersed into Eternal Union with God.
4) Page 5, second paragraph: Christ taught a “many/few” ratio concerning those who would be saved, but we must remember that God gives to every man opportunity to be “saved,” because He is a Just God.
Correction: Christ taught a “many/few” ratio concerning those who would be saved, but we must remember that God gives to every man opportunity to be “saved,” because He is a just God.
5) Page 13, 2nd paragraph: This was evidenced not only by Peter’s opposition to the Gospel, but clearly stated by Christ Himself both before and after His Resurrection (Matthew16: John 16: 28-32; Mark 16: 9-11; Luke 6-11).
Correction: This was evidenced not only by Peter’s opposition to the Gospel, but clearly stated by Christ Himself both before and after His Resurrection (Matthew 16:21; John 16: 28-32; Mark 16: 9-11; Luke 9:22).
5) Page 21, 2nd paragraph: And we remember, we are discussing if they were born again, not if they were saved.
Correction: And we remember we are discussing if they were born again, not if they were saved.
6) Page 32, verse 30 in quotation: 30[Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
Correction: 30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
7) Page 43, last paragraph: In the next section we will look at the Mystery of the Gospel, another compelling reason why we cannot impose saving faith in the Risen Lord which accompanies New Covenant conditions.
Correction: In the next section we will look at the Mystery of the Gospel, another compelling reason why we cannot impose saving faith in the Risen Lord which accompanies New Covenant conditions into the Old Testament.
8) Page 51, middle of page: Even born-again believers.
Correction: Even for born-again believers.
9) Page 71, 1st paragraph: This immersion is the union of God and man, and can rightly be said to be a “reunion” that remedies man’s spiritual death which occurred in the Fall of Adam. This is that separation that exists for every man and woman that is born into the world.
Correction: This immersion is the union of God and man, and can rightly be said to be a “reunion” that remedies man’s separation from God, which occurred in the Fall of Adam. This is that separation that exists for every man and woman that is born into the world.
10) Page 80, 1st paragraph: But what He (and they) did not understand was that the Kingdom of God was more than a physical building, and that the redemption they were in need of was spiritual, not physical.
Correction: But what he (and they) did not understand was that the Kingdom of God was more than a physical building, and that the redemption they were in need of was spiritual, not physical.
11) Page 119, 1st paragraph following verses: Now, the division that arises here stems from the debate as to when men receive the Holy Ghost, whether it is when they believe or when they are baptized with water The latter being known properly as “Baptismal Regeneration.”
Correction: Now, the division that arises here stems from the debate as to when men receive the Holy Ghost, whether it is when they believe or when they are baptized with water. The latter being known properly as “Baptismal Regeneration.”
12) Page141, 1st paragraph: And the obvious truth is that it would not be until Christ was lifted up, and arose the third day, that men would be able to trust in Christ in that context. I would again reiterate the element of precedence in the Old Testament: we can pinpoint and seclude the “giving of the Son” to the Son’s appearing in the Incarnation.
Correction: And the obvious truth is that it would not be until Christ was lifted up, and arose the third day, that men would be able to trust in Christ in that context. And I would point out that Nicodemus asks how men can be born again:
John 3:9
King James Version (KJV)
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
This question is prompted by Christ’s statement “Ye must be born again.” And we see the response is that Christ must be lifted up.
I would again reiterate the element of precedence in the Old Testament: we can pinpoint and seclude the “giving of the Son” to the Son’s appearing in the Incarnation.
13) Page 152, last paragraph: The “spiritual drink” was not eternal life, because God did not grant eternal life to the Children of Israel based on heritage or by being “baptized unto Moses.”.
Correction: The “spiritual drink” was not eternal life, because God did not grant eternal life to the Children of Israel based on heritage or by being “baptized unto Moses.”
14) Page 153-154, first sentence in page: But, they could not place faith specifically in Christ as we do, understanding that He died in our stead, rose again, was received up into Glory, and sent His Spirit to bring us (Man) back into Eternal Union with Himself.
Correction: But, they could not place faith specifically in Christ as we do, understanding that He died in our stead, rose again, was received up into Glory, and sent His Spirit to bring us (Man) into Eternal Union with Himself.
15) Page 157, 1st paragragh: Again we consider the statement by Christ that God is the “God of the living,” which points out that men who had already died physically were still in existence, but, so too were the unjust.
Correction: Again we consider the statement by Christ that God is the “God of the living,” which points out that men who had already died physically were still in existence, but, so too were the unjust (and we would not view the unjust as having eternal life because they were still in existence).
16) Page 161, second paragraph: And Adam did die, not physically, but spiritually, the day he ate of that fruit. He maintained his own spirit, but, the spiritual union with God was severed, and that condition was passed down to his descendants.
Correction: And Adam did die, not physically, but spiritually, the day he ate of that fruit. He maintained his own spirit, but, his “spiritual union” with God was severed. That “spiritual union” was a physical communion with God in the Garden (as opposed to Eternal Union and the life of God bestowed) from which he was thrust out of, and that condition was passed down to his descendants.
17) Page 165, Scripture reference at top of page: 2 Corinthians 5:13-15
Correction: 2 Corinthians 5:14
18) Page 174, 1st paragraph: Those rejecting Christ will be more severely punished than those “Moses Law,” which is the term the Writer uses for the Covenant of Law.
Correction: Those rejecting Christ will be more severely punished than those “Moses’ Law,” which is the term the Writer uses for the Covenant of Law.
19) Page 177, 1st paragraph: Ultimate Redemption awaits the Eternal State, at which time we see this current Creation pass out of existence and God creates a new heaven-not His Eternal Abode, but that which we call the universe-and a new Earth.
Correction: Ultimate Redemption awaits the Eternal State, at which time we see this current Creation pass out of existence and God creates new heavens (not His Eternal Abode, but that which we call the universe) and a new Earth.
20) Page 182, 1st paragraph: The Covenant of Law was the “Vine” of the Age of Law.
Correction: Israel (and by extension the Covenant of Law) was the “Vine” of the Age of Law.
21) Page 196, 1st paragraph: Having just read this, do you, as most do, see this as speaking about a Christian losing their salvation?
Correction: Having just read this, do you, as many do, see this as speaking about a Christian losing their salvation?
22) Page 216, 3rd paragraph: All they knew was there would be a resurrection of the dead, but they were not privy to specifics such as, first, Christ the Firstborn from the dead, and secondly, numerous aspects of resurrection revealed to us, such as the spiritual resurrection of the believer (Regeneration) and the glorified body.
Correction: All they knew was there would be a resurrection of the dead, but they were not privy to specifics such as, first, Christ the Firstborn from the dead, and secondly, numerous aspects of resurrection revealed to us, such as the spiritual resurrection of the believer (Regeneration), the Rapture (catching away of the Church), and the glorified body.
23) Page 229, 3rd paragraph: The Tabernacle He Ministers from is not the earthly Tabernacle, but Heaven itself.
Correction: The Tabernacle He ministers from is not the earthly Tabernacle, but Heaven itself.
24) Page 231, 3rd paragraph: And the fact is that what Christ accomplished was of great magnitude-overcoming the separation between God and Man-and finally making it possible for Man to come into the Holiest of All, Heaven.
Correction: And the fact is that what Christ accomplished was of great magnitude-overcoming the separation between God and Man-and finally making it possible for Man to be eternally forgiven, receive the Life of Christ, and to come into the Holiest of All, Heaven.
25) Page 262, paragraph following Scripture verses: We are not going to find the first Old Testament Saint who was brought back into Eternal Union with God anywhere in the Old Testament.
Correction: We are not going to find the first Old Testament Saint who was brought into Eternal Union with God anywhere in the Old Testament.
26) Page 267, last paragraph: God came to restore to men the relationship that was lost in the Garden, and did so through the Person of the Son.
Correction: God came to restore to men the relationship that was lost in the Garden (which was a direct, physical relationship, not to be confused with Eternal Union), and did so through the Person of the Son.
God bless.
1) Page 3, 1st paragraph: Being deceived by the Serpent (who we learn in later revelation is Satan), Eve ate of the fruit, and gave to her Husband Adam to eat as well.
